This painting was commissioned for a dear friend who is also one of my favorite collectors. She raised longhorn cattle and wanted me to put her cattle in a stampede. When I first showed her this painting, she pointed to each longhorn and called them by name. Of course, in the reference photo she sent me they were each standing still, but once I started sketching, I got them moving!
exciting picture to look at.. I think of the danger for the cowboy and horse with all the long horns...
You certainly must have made her happy with the excitement and richness of the movement and feeling you have given the painting...Bravo !
