This painting was commissioned by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce to promote Palo Duro Canyon. It is probably the last time I'll paint the Lighthouse formation on location. Jeanne and I are getting too old to lug my paints and french easel the six miles required. If you look closely at this painting, you might find a visitor to the Lighthouse. I don't know how far he traveled to get there.
