This young cowboy is having one of those "best days ever"! He has skipped school and is spending the day on his horse, something I did many times. This painting was done for my second book for Harvest House Publishing, "Growing Up Cowboy". The model for this painting and many more is my nephew Ethan. He's now the father of two himself, time flies.
